| This year's camp was a
huge success. We doubled our numbers from last year's camp!!! The
colorguard was AMAZING! I can't believe they were able to get that
much accomplished in that short of a time span-congratulations
colorguard! The drum majors were also an incredible group to work
with. What an outstanding work ethic from all students who
participated. I would personally like to extend a sincere thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Hesse and the Ouachita Baptist University Music Department for all of their hard work and long hours of preparation that went into making this camp a success. I know I speak for all of us when I say the OBU Music Department knows how to host a group! Their professional and courteous staff made all of us feel right at home. The Crews indoor practice facility which was also the location of our show-n-tell was out-of-this-world!!! Next year's camp will be June 3-5, 2009 at none other than Ardadelphia's very own Ouachita Baptist University. We are looking into adding a percussion study track for next year and we will definitely be adding a student leader track to the camp next year. We are very excited to announce that next year's guest clinician will be Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser! Dr. Tim will be with us June 4th, so make your plans now. For more information about Dr. Tim please feel free to visit the staff biography section. Thanks again to the OBU Music Department staff and students! I could not imagine having this camp at any other location. Your team truly is a class act. Have a safe summer and see you next year!!! Steven Moss |
